Insurance companies are a For-Profit-Business, the only way they can maximize their profits, is by reducing the amount they pay out during claims.
When wind damage or hail damage occurs, you would expect your insurance to be there to help you every step of the way. From our experience, most of the time insurance companies will tell you the damage is minimal and only requires minor roof repairs.
Insurance claims can be a long and tedious process. We have experience with insurance claims adjusters, the insurance claims process and supplementing.
We are able to identify the difference between storm damage and mechanical damage, this is the main reason a claim is denied or approved. We will meet with the insurance claims adjuster during his inspection, help identify damages, communicate with you and your adjuster, and supplement the claim to ensure all code items are covered by your insurance. With our insurance claim help, we give you the best shot at having your entire roof replaced.

Policies differ from person to person, 95% of the time insurance will cover damages cause by wind, hail, fire, and even damage caused from a fallen tree limb.
Insurance Adjusters will inspect the property to determine the amount of damage caused to the roof due to a storm. Typically, they need to find anywhere between 6-10 hail damaged shingles with in a 100 square foot radius on each slope.
Wind damage is different from hail damage and most of the time insurance adjusters will approve repairs for this kind of damage. There are many steps The Roof Doctors can take to help have the roof replaced. We perform brittle test, run Itel reports, and can help you with requesting a second inspection by providing addition damage photos to you insurance company.
A brittle test proves if repairs can take place on a roof. During a brittle test, we must remove a shingle off the roof and reinstall it. If any of the shingles are creased, torn, or ripped during this test, it is considered a failed brittle test. A failed brittle test provides enough evidence to insurance companies that a repair is unable to take place and the entire roof will need to be replaced.
Sometimes shingles are discontinued from production, this happens for multiple reasons. If a shingle is discontinued, we can prove that by performing an ITEL report. If a shingle comes back discontinued, this is usually enough evidence for your insurance company to have your entire roof replaced.
You can always request a second inspection if your unsatisfied with the decision of the first inspection. Most of the time they are wanting you to provide additional evidence that they missed damages. With our experience at The Roof Doctors, we know how to create a storm damage report the insurance company is looking for. With our assistance, we will give you a better chance of having a second inspection approved.
