Full Roof Replacement's - we perform a complete tear off of the old roof system. We will not install shingles on top of older shingles.
Why is having a 2 layer roof bad?
Having multiple layers of shingles shortens the lifespan of the new roofing system, doubles the weight of your roof causing stress to the decking and frame, and can trap moisture.
Complete tear off - All shingles, underlayment's, and nails will be removed. Everything we tear off will be placed in our onsite dumpster to maintain a clean construction process.
After the shingles and underlayment has been removed, the decking that supports your homes roof will be exposed. During this time, we will identify any rotten wood and issue a replacement piece decking.
Decking - OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is the most common material used in modern day construction.
Why do you have to replace rotted decking? This ensures the structural support for the new roofing system and prevents current and future leaks.
On top of the decking, we install a synthetic underlayment over the entire area of the roof. Followed by an ice and water shield that is installed on the eaves, rakes and valleys. This ensures a quality roofing system during our full replacement service.
Underlayment creates a watertight seal for your roof.
Ice and water shield prevent ice damming which cause leaks.
Drip edge and gutter aprons are installed around the roofline to prevent water intrusion.
Drip Edge- This metal flashing is installed under the shingles and over the fascia board on rakes and gables edges.
Gutter Apron- Metal flashing Installed under the shingles and into the gutter system on the edge of eaves.

Not all asphalt shingles are made the same, any reputable General Contractor can explain the many benefits with architectural shingles compared to 3-tab shingles.
3-Tab Shingles - Even though 3-tab shingles are cheaper for full roof replacements; they will not save you money in the long run. With 60mph wind ratings, low impact resistance, half the lifespan of Architectural Shingles, and shorter warranties, these shingles are typically discouraged to homeowners.
Architectural Shingles - Also referred to as 3-Diminsional Shingles, are the preferred modern-day shingle of choice for many roofing contractors. With 130mph wind ratings, higher impact resistance, 50% thicker than 3-tab shingles, longer warranties, and longer life expectancy, it's easy to see why these shingles are preferred.
There are many ventilation systems to help keep your attic properly ventilated and prolong the life of your shingles and roofing system. The most common roof ventilation system in Indianapolis is Box Vents (also called turtle vents). In modern day construction, Ridge Vents are preferred and recommended.
Box Vents - These vents are square in shape and can lead to insufficient air flow in your attic space. This can create issues with moisture, mold, and shorten the lifespan of your roof. Box Vents have also been known to allow rodents into the attic space or even become nests for birds.
Ridge Vents - This system is installed at the peak of your roof, also known as the ridge line. The ridge vent creates air flow through the entire attic space, maintaining correct temperature, reducing moisture, and is aesthetically pleasing.
The four main types of roofing flashings in Indianapolis are Step Flashings, Counter Flashings, Base Flashings, and Apron Flashings.
Flashings are used to prevent water from infiltrating at joints or openings, and to direct water away from critical areas of the roof. Flashings are installed in areas where the roof meets a vertical surface or where there are features like vents, chimneys, and skylights.
Before the replacement of a new roofing system begins, we will have an on-site dumpster delivered. All materials that are removed from the home during the complete tear off will be placed into the dumpster. Wind and outside factors can blow materials off the roof or away from the dumpster and will be picked up periodically.
After the project has been completed, a complete clean-up of the property will commence. This includes picking up materials that have blown away and a magnet sweep through the entire yard, sidewalks, and driveway to pick up any nails that have fallen.
Our number one goal is to leave every client satisfied with the work provided.
